Eudora 5.1 Setup

  1. Open Eudura
  2. Click on Tools at the top of the window
  3. Scroll down to Options
  4. Click on Getting Started in the Category List to the Left
  5. Type in your name, this will be displayed when you're sending out mail
  6. For Return address type in your email address. For example: username@switchol.com
  7. For Mail Server (Incomming), Enter the correct mail server address listed below:


    		Incoming POP Server Outgoing SMTP Server
    Switch Online Mail Servers: mail.switchol.com smtp.switchol.com

  8. Your login name is your username
  9. For SMTP (Outgoing) Server, Enter the correct server address listed above:
  10. Put a check in the box next to Allow Authentication
  11. Click on Checking Mail in the category list to the left
  12. The login name is your username
  13. Place a check in the box next to send on check
  14. Next click on Incomming mail in the category list to the left
  15. Make sure there is a dot next to POP for server configuration and Passwords for Authentication Style
  16. Click on Sending mail on the left in the Category List
  17. The return address needs to have your email address
  18. The SMTP server should already have the correct address as listed above
  19. All three boxes should be checked
  20. Click on Composing Mail in the Category List
  21. All boxes should be checked
  22. Click on Internet Dialup in Category List, the only box that should be checked is Have Eudora connect using Dialup Networking
  23. Click on Replying in the category list and make sure there are no checks in the boxes.
  24. Under Display in the category list, there should be check marks in all boxes
  25. Now you're ready to send and receive mail. click ok.
