How to Setup JavaScript and Cookies for Your Browser |
PREFACE:
To operate properly, Switch Online's Webmail needs to work with a browser that is both JavaScript and Cookies enabled. The instructions that follow will instruct you on how to enable these functions in your browser.
- Internet Explorer version 4.x/5.x
From the Internet Explorer Main Menu, click on "View" (or "Tools" in IE 5.x), "Internet Options", "Advanced".
Do one of the following:
- Click on "Restore Defaults", "Apply" (if illuminated), and "OK". Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
or
- Scroll down to "Cookies" and select either "Always Accept" or "Prompt Before Accepting".
- Scroll down to "Java VM" and select "Java JIT Compiler Enabled".
- Click "Apply" and "OK". Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
- Internet Explorer version 6.x
From the Internet Explorer Main Menu, click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options".
- Click on the "Privacy" Tab.
- Move the slide bar on the left, to the buttom so it reads "Accept All Cookies" to the right.
- Click "Apply" and "OK". Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
- Netscape Communicator versions 4.x
- From the Netscape Communicator Main Menu, Click "Edit", "Preferences".
- Under "Category", click on the word "Advanced".
- Be sure that "Enable Java Script" is checked.
- Under "Cookies", be sure that either "Accept All" or "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server"is checked.
- Click "OK". Close and reopen Netscape Communicator.
